With our vines maturing, we are happily taking names for all who would like to pre-purchase one of our white wines before they are even harvested…
We do not have a definite release date just yet, but we are aiming for late spring to early summer of 2024. If all goes as planned and upon the completion of our 2023 harvest, the juices will rest in the winery and await bottling come early Spring of 2024. Soon after the juices are bottled, the wines will be ready and waiting for you to take them home and we cannot wait to share them with you!
If you can’t hold off that long, some of the fruit from our 2022 harvest made it into our Black Ankle wines. Swing by the Black Ankle tasting room to be one of the first to get a taste of LEV at BAV!

2023 Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a medium to light bodied dry white wine that showcases bright acidity swirling with tropical melon and stone-fruit notes leading way to a slight herbaceous finish.
We cannot speak to how our 2023 vintage will showcase just yet, but we can say that we are (im)patiently awaiting its first harvest and bottling date to find out!

2023 Chardonnay

At Black Ankle, our Chardonnay is known for its gentle oak influence and bright, juicy acidity that keeps your mouth engaged. The lovely floral, citrus, and subtle tropical fruit aromas and flavors lead to a long finish that shows of mineral, lemon, and pepper spice.
We are so excited to see how this French varietal differs from one Maryland farm (BAV) to another (LEV)!
