We have been hard at work planting vines here at Live Edge…
At Live Edge Vineyards, we are dedicated to the idea of growing beautiful fruit to make delicious wines, so the first thing we need to do is get some vines in the ground. We are off to a good start with 9 acres of Merlot, 7 acres of Petit Verdot, 7 acres of Cabernet Franc, 5 acres of Albariño, 4 acres of Sauvignon Blanc, 3 acres of Chardonnay, 3 acres of Tempranillo, and 2 acres of Chardonnel planted between 2020 and 2022.
We have also planted some of our favorite Rhone varieties in our vineyard down the road, Tortuga, starting out with 9 acres of Syrah, 2 acres of Mouvèdre, 2 acres of Grenache and an acre of Chardonnel.
Our first harvest of the Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot was in the fall of 2022!
